At Capalaba Kids Early Learning Centre we are inspired by the Reggio Emilia educational approach to learning that enables us to provide a holistic play-based environment for children to move freely between the inside and outside play environments on their path to learning and discovery.

Our qualified and experienced Educator’s support and empower children through their learning and development while working together with the environment as the third teacher, providing the children with meaningful and enriching experiences and fostering a desire to learn.

Rachel Ahsin

Rachel Ahsin

I have been working in the ECE sector for 18 years in various roles such as an educator, lead educator, assistant centre manager, centre manager, nominated supervisor, and trainer and assessor. I hold a Cert III, Diploma, Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services, and a Cert IV in Training and Assessing. My personal philosophy of early education is that each child should be valued for their uniqueness, each having individual needs, interests and abilities, developing in their own unique way and at their own pace. A play-based learning environment will foster and guide the holistic growth of each child and develop in them the basic values of life. Play provides children with opportunities to explore and make new discoveries, developing curiosity and creativity. I believe play is a means through which children can make sense of their world, preparing them for their future. Our role as the Educator is to support and scaffold the children in growth and development, providing them with the opportunity to develop a desire to learn, preparing them for their life long journey.

Grace Townsend

Grace holds a Diploma and eight years’ experience in early childhood. She believes that children are deserving and powerful individuals who need to be viewed as competent and capable learners. She enjoys collaborating with Educators and learning alongside them as they grow and develop in their own professional journey. Within her early childhood career, she is patient and strives for change, while being committed to always being better and doing better for the generations to come.

Dear Families and Staff,
We wish to advise you that Kids Early Learning Centre Services are remaining open and operational to continue to provide quality education, care and support.

Please note that the Australian Government is continuing to work on keeping childcare Services open as an essential service to families and the community. However please note that the Early Learning Sector is working collectively with the Australian Government to ascertain what the funding arrangements would be in the event that the Government required childcare Services to close.

We will ensure Families and Staff receive all required information, including information in relation to payment of fees, as updates are provided by the Australian Government relating to the Early Learning sector.

We appreciate your continued support and patience as we all work through these unprecedented events together.

The safeguarding of the health and wellbeing of our children, staff and wider communities is our top priority and we will continue to act in accordance with the latest public health advice from the Australian Government.

If you have questions regarding how to best utilise your Childcare Subsidy (CCS) please speak to your Centre Manager.
