Springwood Kids ELC is a purpose-built centre, inspired by the Reggio Emilia philosophy. We offer an inclusive and flexible environment that invite children to explore their hundred languages. We view our environment as the third teacher and create rich and inquiry based open ended experiences that provoke wonder, curiosity and discovery. Our centre offers children a dedicated Atelier which explores concepts of light, shadow and reflection. Along with investigating a wide variety of art mediums, with emphasis on exploring clay every day! We have an onsite Chef who serves breakfast, morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea along with catering to a variety of dietary requirements and needs. Our children enjoy their meals in our centre where we view meal times as a ritualistic connection and have the opportunity to dine together. Our outdoor environment offers a waterpark, compost and sustainability station, gardens, sand exploration, a swimming pool and mud kitchen. We offer a learn to swim program with a qualified swimming instructor and provide private and small group lessons throughout the week.
Our studios each have an outdoor retreat for children to engage in sensorial exploration, yoga stations, wood work benches, worm farms, obstacle courses and gardening.
Our studios have tunnels in the walls which invite each of our children to explore what each studio has to offer, supporting our philosophy that children deserve every learning opportunity available.
The Queensland Government is introducing Free Kindy! Starting from January 1, 2024, Queensland children can attend a government-approved kindergarten program for 15 hours per week, 40 weeks per year, at no cost!
