Cassie Wozniak

Goodna Kids ELC

I have been in childcare for just over seven years. Ever since an early age I have enjoyed caring and educating young children at family and friends’ events. When moving to Brisbane I decided to follow my passion and began studying and working in early childhood. I find my job extremely rewarding both educating and supporting children and mentoring and leading my fellow educators. After being introduced to the Reggio Emilia philosophy three years ago when I joined the Kids ELC family, I believe that this is an amazing philosophy to educate and care for children and I am very happy to be a part of it.

Shannon O'Brien

Taigum Kids ELC 2

I have worked within the education sector for 11 years, from the week I graduated high school. I have a strong passion for ensuring that all children have a safe place to learn where they are nurtured, respected and valued as an individual. I am a mum of three young children and so I understand just how emotional it can be leaving your child in the care of someone else each day.

I have a vision for our industry to be valued as we teach little minds in the most important part of their learning journey, which aligns with Nathan Wallis’ theory on brain development. I am so excited to come to work each day in our Reggio Emilia inspired centre and believe that this is our point of difference in this fast-growing and ever-changing industry. There is simply nothing that compares to the principles and practices of Kids ELC. Our company philosophy speaks to my heart. I have a vision for our centre to be completely united with a team of passionate educators who strive for the best quality care for all children within our service, to be involved with our community in every possible aspect, and to be exceeding in all areas of the National Quality Standard.

Traci Shirley

Rothwell Kids ELC

Traci has over thirty-five years’ experience in Early Childhood Education and has worked for the centre for over 12 years in the Centre Manager position. Traci holds an Advanced Diploma of Children’s Services and her Certificate 4 in Training and Assessment. Hailing from Tasmania, Traci moved to Queensland with her family in 2003. She has two adult daughters and a husband, and she loves her German Shepherd, Zeus. Traci’s passion and dedication to the early childhood sector was ignited when she was 16 years old when she started on her early years education journey. The most rewarding part of her job is forming relationships with children, families, and industry professionals.

‘I believe if you form a positive relationship, then that creates a safe, secure environment for the child and their families. Once trust is gained then learning is so much more authentic.’ – Traci.

Traci also believes in the rights of the child, and that each child’s needs should be catered for. She has always strived to lead an inclusive service and enjoys working alongside educators that share the same vision.

Jaylene Davis

Charters Towers Kids ELC

I have five amazing and unique children who have taught me that every child travels their own unique learning journey and develops at their own pace. I am excited to share my passion, dedication and knowledge of early childhood education and care that advocates for the rights of children, while leading our Reggio Emilia inspired team of educators. I believe in creating a sense of belonging through fostering warm, welcoming, inviting and nurturing environments where educators are in tune to the needs of all children, guiding programs that utilise the strengths, knowledge and interests of both children and educators. This allows for a journey of growth and self-discovery to unfold while developing new found knowledge and tools that allow children and educators to become the best version of themselves.

Children are my passion, and leading a team of educators who put children at the forefront of everything they do to achieve quality education and outstanding learning outcomes is something I continuously aspire towards

Bec Luttgens

Browns Plains Kids ELC

I have my Advanced Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care and I have been working at Browns Plains Kids ELC for the past eight years. I am a mother of seven beautiful children and I love to spend quality time with my family creating memories. We love exploring, going out on the water and planning adventures for school holidays.

I am very passionate about providing my families and children with nurturing and stimulating environments where children can grow as happy inquisitive learners. I thrive to make my families feel a sense of belonging when they arrive at our service and that they feel supported in all areas of their child’s learning journey.

Rachel Ahsin

Acting Centre Manager
Capalaba Kids ELC 1

I have been working in the ECE sector for 18 years in various roles such as an educator, lead educator, assistant centre manager, centre manager, nominated supervisor, and trainer and assessor. I hold a Cert III, Diploma, Advanced Diploma in Children’s Services, and a Cert IV in Training and Assessing. My personal philosophy of early education is that each child should be valued for their uniqueness, each having individual needs, interests and abilities, developing in their own unique way and at their own pace. A play-based learning environment will foster and guide the holistic growth of each child and develop in them the basic values of life. Play provides children with opportunities to explore and make new discoveries, developing curiosity and creativity. I believe play is a means through which children can make sense of their world, preparing them for their future. Our role as the Educator is to support and scaffold the children in growth and development, providing them with the opportunity to develop a desire to learn, preparing them for their life long journey.

Aimee Little

Capalaba Kids ELC 2

I have been with Kids ELC since 2012. I first joined the centre as an educator and I have progressed to the role of Centre Manager.

With a strong belief in the Reggio Emilia Approach, I value children as central to their own learning. Children are able to pursue their own interests and revisit and build upon ideas at their own pace. I am grateful to be able to experience the growth and development of each individual child and their family, while providing a sense of belonging to all who interact with our centre.

Carol-Ann Wadsworth

Taigum Kids ELC 1

I have been at Taigum Kids ELC 1 for quite a few years and I really believe that this is where I belong. My role as Centre Manager has been both inspirational and amazing. I always thought that I was meant to be in a studio with the children, but now I have the best of both worlds.

I started my career in 1995 and this pathway then extended to completing my Diploma, Advanced Diploma and also my Cert III in Training and Assessment. I have always been very passionate about my position in child care and I thoroughly enjoy every day. I truly believe that if you find a job you love, you will never have to work a day in your life.

Taigum Kids ELC is my second home and it is really important to me that our families feel that when they walk through our door. I believe that if we can give our families that “goose bump” feeling when they walk through our centre and meet our dedicated educators, than they need not look any further.

Leeanne Brook

Acting Centre Manager
Springwood Kids ELC

As a passionate advocate for children, I am Diploma qualified and hold extensive experience in the field of early learning. I have worked for Kids ELC for over ten years and I am very grateful that my role allows me to support children through their early journey in life.

I find joy in enabling children to gain the tools to create their independence. I believe that the first few years of a child’s life are pivotal to the wellbeing of their future, and at Kids ELC I have a direct role in shaping the future of the children at our centres.
