“Achieving excellence is an experience like no other.  An at-first formidable goal resulted in an amazing story being told. The journey of our ‘Eagleby Extra’ ways of being, belonging and becoming was now in print to share with the Eagleby team, the community, and the profession. Contributing our accomplishments, projects, and inspirations of our dynamic excellence to the Early Childhood Profession is rewarding and a proud moment.

The journey of writing and providing evidence for the Excellence application was exciting and informative as I learnt in-depth background data across the 3 years the centre had been open. The process of writing the story made light of educators, children’s and families thinking, ideas, and values. It identified decision-making techniques and processes as a timeline formulated – the progression and growth become evident and visible.

The sustained excellent practice section motivated and ignited challenging and inspirational goals. Having dynamic excellence goals identified provides guidance and emerging pathways for myself and educators to strive towards. Being a part of such a large vision to ensure excellence is consistently at the forefront of educators’ thinking is remarkable and exhilarating. I eagerly await the upcoming triumphs incorporating the ‘Eagleby Extra’ culture!”

“Kids ELC is the best centre I have worked for throughout my early childhood career. I started out at Goodna Kids ELC when the centre opened in 2016 as an assistant and was soon offered the chance to advance my career and learn a new skill as Assistant Centre Manager. I was provided with many opportunities to expand my knowledge and contribute with my ideas and changes. Learning valuable life and professional skills. After three years in this position, I was fortunate enough to be offered the Centre Manager role which I jumped at all with hesitations of new responsibilities. I soon came to learn that not only was I offered this great opportunity, but I had some of the most amazing support team members who guided and mentored me through every challenge and triumph. I have now been in this role for almost 3 years and have loved every minute. I am amazed at how much a company is willing to help support their employees to grow and expand their careers.”

“I have worked for kids ELC over the last 6 years. Since then I have grown immensely as an educator due to the opportunities, training and workshops Kids ELC provide to grow educators knowledge on the Reggio Emilia approach.

The last year a position and studio was created at our Springwood centre to help inspire children’s imagination and creativity. I was chosen to run this studio as the centres ATELIERISTA and have enjoyed every moment. Working in an environment that not only inspires the children but also myself as the educator.

Creating provocations for children to make new discoveries and encourage children to learn and express there thoughts and feelings by getting creative and using the Atelier as their creative outlet is encouraged every day.

I gain great satisfaction in knowing that I have made a small difference in a child’s day or week. I feel as though management supports my decisions and trusts me in my daily work.

Over all Kids ELC are a great company to work for with amazing team culture and opportunities to grow and learn every day.”

“When I wake up in the morning, I think about the day I am about to work at Capalaba Kids and I am fortunate enough to say that I never know what to expect as every day is different. I have the opportunity to be and play with the children. The conversations that I have with each and every child is unique and always manages to put a smile on my face. I participate in experiences where I too get to engage with my inner child and see the magic every day through the eyes of these amazing humans.”
