    What does ‘out of pocket’ cost mean?

    It’s the remaining cost to you, after eligible subsidies are deducted from the daily fee.

    Example: The fee at this centre is $152 per day, for a 10hr session. For those with a CCS rate of 80%, out-of-pocket costs for the day may be only $39.81*.

    *Out-of-pocket cost example is based on a 10hr session, 5 days a week booking, includes a Child Care Subsidy (CCS) of 80% and withholding rate of 5%. Excludes any other subsidies that may apply.
