Learning

A curriculum tailored to your child

Our approach to early childhood education incorporates innovative play and inquiry that’s led by the individual child’s interests. Our early childhood teachers and educators act as collaborators, encouraging children to explore the world around them and communicate creatively about their findings.

We believe that children play an active role in their learning and education, so we’ve created a supportive and nurturing environment where they feel safe to do so.

What’s provided by Kids ELC Eagleby, and what do I need to pack for my child?
We provide all nappies and wipes for your convenience. Your child will also enjoy a range of healthy and nutritious meals prepared daily by our in-house chef, with all menus tailored to every child’s dietary needs.

All that you need to pack is:
- A spare change of clothes (or two) and a wet bag labelled with your child’s name
- A sun-safe hat (broad-brimmed or legionnaire style)
- A labelled water bottle
- Baby’s bottles for formula or breastmilk
What facilities and activities are available to children at the Eagleby centre?

Our purpose-built facility offers a range of natural outdoor play spaces for children to explore. Complete with an adventure fort, swing, growing garden and other bespoke activities, children are always having a great time.

Beyond our modern facilities, we also offer a range of enriching programs that nurture creativity, culture, and confidence. From our weekly dance lessons to our dedicated Māori Program, children at Eagleby are supported to grow, discover, and thrive.
But the fun doesn’t stop there. We’re proud to deliver a Queensland government-approved Free Kindy Program that’s run by a qualified early childhood teacher. This program has been specially designed to support your child’s transition to school with a strong foundation in early literacy, numeracy and social skills.
How do you ensure safety across the centre?

At Kids ELC Eagleby, your child’s safety is always our top priority. Our centres are designed with secure entry systems, child-safe environments, and regular risk assessments to make sure children can explore and learn safely.

All educators hold the relevant qualifications and training, and we also maintain clear communication with families to keep you informed and reassured at every step.
What are your educator-to-child ratios?
We follow the educator-to-child ratios set out by the National Quality Framework to make sure every child gets the care and attention they need. At Kids ELC Eagleby, this looks like:
- Babies (0–24 months): 1 educator for every 4 children
- Toddlers (24–36 months): 1 educator for every 5 children
- Toddlers (36 months up to and including preschool age): 1 educator for every 11 children
- Over preschool age: 1 educator for every 15 children
Whenever we can, we go beyond the required ratios to give children extra individual attention. This allows us to create a safe, nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
What is the daily routine like?

Every day at Kids ELC Eagleby brings something new. Each day is thoughtfully planned by our educators to include play-based learning, outdoor exploration, nutritious meals, rest, and engaging experiences. With children from six weeks to five years old, we tailor our programs to suit each age group’s needs and interests.
